James Russell
Founder/Director

He started working in motorsports from an early
age, starting his racing career in 2001 in karts and
then proceeding to formula cars and also rallying
as well. With a career spanning over 25 years,
James has worked in a variety of roles from team
management, driver coaching, event instructor
and many more.
James founded Stratos in 2010 and has been the
figurehead of the organisation since, overseeing
its growth into the Racing School Programs as well
as the Sports Management side.

Daniel Woodroof
Director

With over 17 years of motorsports experience,
Daniel has won multiple national and international
titles from karting to formula cars. Having competed
in Formula 3 Asia and participated in the Porsche
China Junior Programme, Daniel is an active driver
coach and manager for Stratos.
Beyond motorsports, Daniel is an active TV host on
Discovery Channel & Fox Sports, as well as cofounder of one Malaysia’s leading digital marketing
agencies – which he successfully sold to one of the
world’s largest independently owned PR firms.

Romain Leroux
Partner

Romain is a product of the Stratos Eco-system,
having started in the racing school program,
graduated to the racing team winning multiple
championships with Stratos and now pursuing his
career as a professional GT racer with Aston
Martin. He begun working with Stratos Sports
Management as a coach and driver mentor in
2023 alongside his racing duties. As an active
racer himself he brings a great insight to the
drivers he helps manage.
